ANGRY CITIZENS DEMONSTRATE AGAINST THEIR LEADERS AT SENYA BREKU OVER 1,700 ACRES OF FARM LAND SOLD TO WINNERS CHAPEL

Some Residents and a section of Nananom in Senya Breku in the Awutu Senya West District of central region have demonstrated massively against the some traditional authorities in the community for an Alleged inappropriate sale of 1,700 acres of land for Winners chapel.

According to some aggrieved residents,   a section  of  chiefs from the  Senya Breku community have sold about 1,700 acres of farming land to Winners Chapel to build a university  which they initial agreed on 200 acres of land but illegally has been increased to 1,700 which is unacceptable.

Original news reporter Katakyie Darko Speaking with  the leader of the Demonstrators Kwame Otoo hinted that, Senya Beraku is a fishing and farming community with a population of over 12,000 inhabitants which most of them depends solely on their farms for survival but now Winners chapel has destroyed all their farm produce such as cassava, maize, beans, yam and others.

Kwame Otoo has however,  expressed  the rational behind the  demonstration to demolished the  fence wall constructed by the Winners Chapel that, in fact they are not against the University which Winners Chapel want build but the way the land was given to them is not the way it should be, and at the same time the land is too much and why they want to fence the whole land before they even start their project

On the same issue, Some residents who were part of the Demonstration have accused  Tufohen Nana Ipi Kwao Bentum and CEO for Ideal College  Dr. Joseph Essibu of being behind the selling of 1,700 acres of land to Winners chapel.

The aggrieved residents , Demonstrators have appealed to the government, the DCE Hon. Joseph Aidoo and Hon Eugene Arhin to intervene and resolve this issue
